Mt. Woodson Castle Wedding | Abby + Ryan

Abby and Ryan’s Mt. Woodson Castle wedding in Ramona, CA was such a beautiful, emotional, love filled day! Mt. Woodson Castle is the most gorgeous venue with plenty of stunning little corners for photos! The bridal suite has a window lined patio attached to it, which is a photographers dream for getting ready portraits! Abby started her day here with all of her ladies cheering her on while they got ready together. She shared a tear filled first look with her father before the ceremony began and I can’t lie and say I wasn’t tearing up myself behind my camera. I have a very strong bond with my father so these moments always choke me up! It is so, so special.

The ceremony took place under the gorgeous, giant oak trees- one of the many places Mt. Woodson Castle has available for ceremonies! The beauty of this venue is unmatched because of the multiple, versatile locations they have for ceremonies and receptions! Don’t want trees for your ceremony? No problem, they also have a lawn with the castle behind you when you say your “I do’s!”

After the ceremony, I stole Abby and Ryan away for some solo romantic photos of just them two. We went to a secluded spot on the property where I asked them to take a deep breath, listen to the quietness and just soak each other in! Often times, wedding day’s come with a lot of hustle and bustle and you don’t get much time alone. I always try to set aside time for my couples to have a few minutes to really soak it in and realize “holy crap, we just got married!” The day goes by so fast, after all! The grassy area that I took them to had the most gorgeous sunlight seeping through the trees. It truly felt like a fairytale! I also took them to a few other cool spots around the Castle, including a platform overlooking a lake and the golf course. The sun setting with the mountains in the background was such a dream! Any Mt. Woodson Castle wedding also has access to an awesome, giant windmill that makes for a great photo op as well!

The reception was complete with emotional toasts from those closest to them, a delicious dinner, a bouquet toss and cake cutting. Abby and Ryan played the shoe game too, which had all of their guests (and myself) cracking up. If you’re not familiar, the shoe game is where the couple sits back to back, holds one of each others shoes, and then someone asks questions like, “Who is the worst cook?” and the couple holds up whoever’s shoe takes the title of worst cook! It is hilarious and such a fun game for weddings!

Abby and Ryan ended their wedding with a grand bubble exit while all of their guests waved them off to their Hawaii honeymoon!

Thank you so much for having me, Abby and Ryan! Congratulations!
