This Lake Cuyamaca engagement session made all of my blue hour dreams come true! Lexy and Raul are two of the nicest people I have ever met and they were such a joy to photograph! They truly put all of their trust in me and let me be creative and I feel that’s when an artist is able to create their best work. I have known Lexy for nearly 15 years! (Like what?? How has it been that long??) I was so so happy when she reached out to me about photographing their wedding and I couldn’t wait to see her again since it has been years since we last hung out!
Lexy wore two outfits and brought along some beer to end the evening. I love it when couples make a session unique with details like this and always encourage it! I want your photos to represent who you are as a couple!
The session began in a casual shirt and jeans and then Lexy changed into the most GORGEOUS red dress! I was swooning the entire time. It was so flowy and perfect for the wind to catch it just right. The color of the dress next to the green trees popped like crazy! You would never guess, but Lake Cuyamaca was a brisk 45 degrees this evening but Lexy didn’t skip a beat and kept saying “the photos will be worth the cold!” And I have to say that she was right!
We had a beautiful sunset and the moon popped out to add to the blue hour dreaminess! I also experimented with some fun double exposures while editing this session and I am so happy with how they came out! Can’t wait to start adding them to more sessions. 🙂
Thank you for spending this beautiful evening with me for your Lake Cuyamaca engagement session, Lexy and Raul! Can’t wait to watch you two tie the knot!
