This Laguna Mountain engagement session wasn’t just your typical romantic couples shoot! Well, I mean, it was… but with a twist!

Melissa and Jedidiah reached out to me and mentioned that they wanted to personalize their photos by including one of their favorite hobbies, which is mountain biking! Jedidiah is also a motocross professional so something like this was extra special for them.

I always encourage couples to add unique elements to their session so that their photos represent them and they, in turn, feel even more connected to the images when they look back on them in the future. More often than not, people actually don’t take advantage of this! So when Melissa and Jedidiah mentioned this in their initial inquiry, I was ecstatic and immediately felt so inspired!

We decided to split their session so the first half was in their nice dress clothes and focused more on the romantic, classic engagement photos. Half way through the shoot they did a quick outfit change into their super rad biking gear and we had some fun riding along one of my favorite trails!

I absolutely loved this session and it felt like such a breath of fresh air to do something so different! If you’re contemplating customizing your engagement session, DO IT!

Melissa and Jedidiah are so sweet together and they are clearly so deeply in love. I am so grateful that they chose me to capture these special moments for them!
